The next step
Every moment is an entry point into the next.
We often over estimate what we can accomplish in a year.
But we underestimate what we can accomplish in ten.
Either way, the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. And each step is just a step.
It’s easy to lose sight of that and feel overwhelmed.
In the context of a thousand miles, a step feels like nothing.
And yet, anything meaningful that you’re working on will likely involve millions of steps over many years.
Each step is an entry point into the next step.
This seems so insignificant, but it’s everything.
You can’t separate any one step from the whole.
Each step is equally significant. Each step brings you a little closer.
I always remember this when I’m challenged.
Every moment is an entry point into the next moment.
Every moment begins with your last breath.
All you have to do is take one more step.
